In response, the Punjab government has announced a statewide nighttime blackout, effective from 9:30 PM to 5:30 AM. The announcement was made by Punjab Minister Harjot Singh Bains via social media.
He stated that, given the current sensitive situation, the government and administration will enforce the blackout during these hours as a precautionary measure to maintain public safety and peace. The minister urged citizens to remain calm, avoid panic, and not pay heed to rumors, assuring that the government is fully vigilant and actively working to ensure everyone’s security.
