Donald Trump Offers to Help Resolve Kashmir Issue, Commends India and Pakistan’s Leadership

Although India and Pakistan have reached a ceasefire agreement, the Kashmir issue remains unresolved. In a recent development, U.S. President Donald Trump, just 16 hours after announcing the ceasefire agreement between the two countries, has now offered to collaborate with both nations to find a solution to the Kashmir issue. It is important to note that New Delhi has consistently stated that Kashmir is an integral part of India and does not seek third-party mediation. The Indian government’s response to Trump’s offer is still awaited.

Trump shared his thoughts on the social media platform Truth Social, saying, “I am incredibly proud of the strong and unwavering leadership of India and Pakistan, who have the power, wisdom, and determination to recognize that halting the current conflict was the right decision. Many innocent lives could have been lost, and destruction could have occurred in this situation. Your legacy has grown significantly through these courageous actions.”

Trump further added, “I am also proud that the United States helped you reach this historic decision. While this has not been discussed publicly, I am planning to significantly increase trade with both of these great nations. Moreover, I will work with India and Pakistan to explore if, ‘after a thousand years,’ a solution to the Kashmir issue can be achieved. May God grant the leadership of both countries the strength to quickly bring this positive work to completion.”
